Pricketts Fort offers a variety of special events and workshops throughout the year such as dinners, performances, seminars and historic arts workshops. These activities give visitors a unique historic experience, and provide them with a deeper understanding of the 18th century.
Pricketts Fort’s historic arts workshops allow visitors the opportunity to learn more about specific processes that are taught by fort interpreters or area artisans. Offerings range from blacksmithing and gun maintenance, to spinning, dyeing, basketry and herb gardening. You can register for events below, or by calling 304-363-3030. |
Recent workshop students' responses when asked what they enjoyed most about Helen Efaw's basket class:
The help - I have never done a basket and the help was excellent." The friendly atmosphere and fun we share. I would take more classes." I had a blast (and I'm really proud of myself)!" |
