Friday, September 17 to Sunday, September 19, 9 am to 6 pm daily. This three day introductory workshop will include: how to build and maintain a fire; how to identify color, draw, and upset steel; how to set up a modern shop; and how to utilize the anvil’s horn. The class will also touch on forge welding and heat treating. Students should wear hard shoes, safety glasses, and gloves. Bring a brown bag lunch, tongs and hammers if possible. All materials provided. No experience required. Open to students 16 and up.
